Since 1971, Aylesbury Youth Action has been at the heart of our community. At that time, we were the only youth volunteering organisation in the area, creating groundbreaking opportunities for young people to grow and thrive through volunteering.
We must inform you of the very difficult decision to close the charity. This has not been an easy choice. However, we want to take this moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of AYA’s Volunteers over the past 54 years—and invite you to celebrate with us.
The landscape of youth volunteering has changed. While we face increasing challenges around funding and the wider economic pressures affecting the charity sector, we are also proud that more organisations are now offering young people the chance to volunteer. Though this has impacted our numbers, it also reflects the pioneering role AYA has played in paving the way for others to follow. We see this as a powerful legacy and a wonderful opportunity for the next generation of young people in Aylesbury.
We would like to thank you sincerely for your support, guidance, and friendship throughout the years. Your involvement has helped make Aylesbury Youth Action such a special organisation, and for that, we are truly grateful.
